A curriculum crafted over thousands of teaching hours. With each of their sessions, students learn new skills to give them an edge on test day.
Diagnostic Assessment
Preparation begins with a diagnostic exam to establish baselines in each of the DSAT’s score categories. Based on the results, we design a customized curriculum that targets a student’s weaknesses and maintains their strengths.
Test Preparation
With engaging lectures informed by thousands of classroom hours, I fill the gaps in students’ knowledge. We aim to review one major topic in each lesson. To ensure that students are fully prepared for their test day, I provide them with a custom equations sheet, a comprehensive question bank, and two textbooks. Each session, students gain valuable skills to give them an edge on test day. Guardians receive a detailed session report each week to track student progress.

After GPA, the SAT is the most important aspect of a student’s college application. A high SAT score can make up for a lower GPA, while a low SAT score can result in a rejection for even the most prestigious students. For students at New York’s most prestigious high schools, they will be judged relative to their peers so should aim above their school’s average.

The Digital SAT is adaptive, presenting students with material corresponding to their abilities. Additionally, the Digital SAT is designed to confuse calculator-dependent students through complex algebra. The current SAT is the most difficult iteration yet, but Lion Prep has adapted to the digital format with an updated question bank, prep materials, and a focus on the DSAT’s graphing calculator, DESMOS.
